The first generation Neon has frameless doors just like a Mercedes CLS!

All I ever remember from frameless windows is having the corner of the glass jammed into my ribs when trying to get in or out of the car, because I can’t see them well peripherally.

It also has a raised corner on the rear door like a Ford Victoria four-door hardtop of ‘57-’64.

Closer to 40 years.
Almost all non-kei car Subarus had frameless windows starting in 1971 and disappearing 2008-2010
I believe the exceptions are the Justy, the SVX, and the (B9) Tribeca.

With those frameless door synergies, it’s hard to understand why the the DaimlerChrysler merger didn’t work out.
THEY WERE EQUALS!!!
EQUALITY IS GOOD!
RIGHT? RIGHT???

I still do that with my own car. Not often, but more often than I should.

No. They are absolute junk. They have a few neat little features for being a super cheap car but overall they are awful to live with and unreliable. I dated a girl in the late 90's who had one just a few years old that had already developed all sorts of problems modern cars don’t have for 10 years/150k.

I’m aware. My mom bought a new Neon coupe when I was 3. She says it’s the worst car she’s ever owned. It looks cool though.

Or an MR2 or 300ZX. Or any Subaru.
I actually think it’d a bad idea. Harder to seal, more likely to leak.

Good luck right. It’s hard to even find a second generation one. The first generations fell apart so fast there are very few left. It was engineering to sell cheap, not engineered to last.
